Flame retardant additive

In September 2010, the Company has announces that a new application of micro nano silicon as flame retardant additive to robber and plastic materials, have passed stringent flame retardancy standard test which means the application of micro nano silicon is expended into flame retardant additive market for robber and plastic materials.?

Regarding the flame retardant additive industry, the booming Chinese economy is positively affecting many of the country’s major industries, including the robber and plastics industries. This, in turn, is driving the growth of plastics additives, particularly flame retardant chemicals. While halogenated products have traditionally dominated the market, holding approximately 90.0 percent share, rising environmental concerns could induce a shift away from these products. So in the meanwhile, in early 2000, the governmental ban on using certain boosts the demand for non-halogenated flame retardant additive product for robber and plastic markets.

The cost effectiveness and efficiency of non-halogenated flame retardants are leading many consumers to switch their choices to other applications. Plus, the non-halogenated flame retardant additive, are considered more environment-friendly than the currently dominant products. This has helped to develop the wider uptake and the new application of non- halogenated flame retardants in China. In 2009, the annual global production of plastic material was over 300 million tons with an annual demand for flame retardant additives in excess of 24 million tons.

The Company believes manufacturing flame retardants based upon the micro nano silicon technology is a technologically and economically viable alternative to halogenated product. It is cost effective due to more flame retardancy and no need for a higher loading level. The Company will officially start to manufacture it at the beginning of 2011, and the Company is designing a production line that will ultimately yield production of approximately 30,000 tons per year. The Company expects that upon completion the 30,000 ton production line will yield $35 MM in revenue with $12 MM in net profit annually. When exposed to flame, the Company’s non-halogen phosphate flame retardant product is a shown to be comparatively less toxic, with lower smoke density and minimally invasive odor when compared to its competitor’s products. Additionally, the Company’s non-halogen phosphate flame retardant additive features a lower specific gravity, lower loading levels and non-blooming help to exemplify the overall cost savings that benefit the user from importing products.

Features as flame retardant additive:

Halogen-free raw material

  • Toxicologically harmless in case of fire (reacted with epoxies)
  • Low smoke densities
  • Good mechanical properties of laminates
  • Compatible with all resins and hardeners

Several unique features make our product different from other flame retardant additive materials (such like Decabromodiphenyl oxide (DBDPO)) ,including no harmful and toxic corrosive gas while pyrolyzing, generating water vapor and absorb heat while pyrolyzing which enables the material itself have the ability to be fire retardant. Therefore, our product has the potential to replace other retardant agent products in the market. Another big bonus for using our product are its characters of a) lower smoking density; b) electricity leaking resistance; c) strong wear resistance, as using in rubber, placstic and other high grade composite materials.

Nationally, we have couple hundreds competitors anticipating in the same industry field in China, most of them are located in southeast costal cities, and delta areas of Changjiang and Zhujiang. Nonetheless, there are a few competitors located inland, they are Chengdu Hangtian Chemical, Chengdu Jintian Chemical, Xinan Zuran Wire, and there are also a few companies producing flame retardant agent in Xi’an City.

As of right now, the annual demand for flame retardant agent in China is about 2million tons, in which 30% to 40% were manufactured by Aluminum companies in Shandong, Zhongzhou, and Shanxi province. The second large share was Henan Longyang. They produce 100,000 ton per year. The rest more than 1million tons are largely rely on importation from Japan, Germany and the US.
